I have made several comments about the Biscuit whom I love from a distance through this blog.

I have poked fun at his big feet and big ears. In one photo he was running and I mentioned that his fleet footedness might relate to the name relationship with Sea Biscuit the horse. I totally missed the obvious gag and it just dawned on me as I was skimming through your blog that the name relationship could be played another way. Flea Biscuit.

I hope you take this all in good fun. I love that dog and your blog so don't get mad.

We’re getting it here in Charlotte too. It’s yucky. We got some rain last night that helped a little – but not enough.

We are getting a lot of the smoke where I am (just south of Birmingham, AL) also. Seems to be more pronounced in the mornings though.

I am in ATL this week working and I noticed it when I stepped out of my hotel room too. Its weird to smell the winter fire smell in May in Atlanta. Do you think it is too late for strawberries when driving back up the mountain? Have you ever entered the ‘pro-south’ outpost?
