This video was made by a 5th grade teacher at Rainbow Mountain School here in Asheville. Eight people have e-mailed it to me over the past few days. Depending on who you’re voting for, it’ll either make you cry or make you rip your hair out. Happy first day of early voting in North Carolina!!
UPDATE 10/22: The video and the website have disappeared. I hear Glenn Beck was ranting about the video, but I can’t imagine that right-wing influence would be strong enough to knock this down. The only reason I can imagine would be sufficient enough to remove all traces of the video would be if the Obama campaign decided that it was somehow harmful. Anyone know what gives?

Hey Edgy Mama.
I am the teacher from Rainbow Mountain that co-created ManifestObama.com (props to my most-awesome husband, Jamie and his brilliant friend Patrick Scully for working hand-in-hand with me to make it happen!)
I wanted to thank you for posting our video. We really felt that it was critical to the success of the campaign to focus on what we DO want instead of what we DON”T want. After the Republican convention, we felt that we and our fellow Obama supporters were spending all of our mental and emotional energy on reviling and berating the Palin/McCain ticket (and yes . . . the reversal is intentional.) I mean . . .”Barack WHO?”. . . right?
ManifestObama.com is the manifestation of our desire to bring positive energy to the Obama campaign in these all-important final days. Eyes on the prize, folks! We are happy to tell you that in less than a week since we launched the site, the video has been viewed nearly 10,000 times in every state of this great country — and many other countries around the globe as well!
Many blessings to you and yours. Hope you are enjoying this beautiful fall weekend.

Hurrah, Lauren and Patrick and Jaime! Thanks for bringing the positive into this charged time. I’m happy to help spread the word.
And thanks to Asheville’s amazing Billy Jonas for the beautiful musical accompaniment!
Happy weekend, all!
Lauren,
Where’s the video? What happened?
The right-wing nuts didn’t get to you, did they?
I have been searching the web for the past hour trying to this video which youtube says “is no longer available”. It has been dissapeared! WTF?!
I’m trying to find out, Karen.
Wow, interesting video … and I must say my hat goes off to Lauren, and her Husband, whether I agree with you or not, I’m proud to see that Americans are being able to still freely voice their opinions, without fear of persecution. However, I find it funny that the newspapers, and talking heads, consistently talk about how John McCain is running the most negative campaign between the two candidates. Yet reading comments, and blogs, of Obama supporters you hear the same tone, and I’m going to quote you Lauren. “After the Republican convention, we felt that we and our fellow Obama supporters were spending all of our mental and emotional energy on reviling and berating the Palin/McCain ticket”
Don’t get me wrong, I’m tired of all the smear ads, because they don’t influence my decision what so ever, but lets drop the “holier than thou” attitude, because quite frankly both sides are guilty of this crap.
By the way, if anyone wants to see the video, just Google “Manifest Obama” and you’ll find it pretty quickly.
Thanks!
I think I finally found the video on Youtube. Someone called it “creepy” but you know how people are about things they don’t understand. I really appreciate the effort by everyone who participated in this.I am envisioning Mr. Obama taking the oath several times a day and hopefully it will help. Be Positive! everyone it is a powerful thing!
i found one last trace of this video here:

Too bad this positive video was pulled. We have created another video with a positive theme that gives Obama supporters ways they can make a difference and interact.
You can see the the video herehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbHuTDmXaEE

Thanks,
